This is today's late afternoon version of the leaves of my fairy rose . . . it sits right in the midst of my wormwood . . . the wormwood has flourished at the southwest corner of my house for years . . . the fairy rose was planted back in April of 2010 . . .
This is a miniature rose . . . as well as an antique rose (1932) . . . the blooms and buds are very small . . . as are the leaves . . . I was out in the yard off and on all day . . . but did not think of photographing these leaves until that late afternoon sun hit them and made those colors pop . . . my wormwood is now looking a little wilty . . . that last freeze did a little damage . . . and we've got more due this week . . . may not look up to par for a while now . . .

ReplyDeleteI love the color of the leaves...I bet the roses are beautiful when in bloom. I have never had good luck with roses.
ReplyDeleteMy wormwood is doing great and has ended up very healthy after its very strange 'bout with black little bugs. Love the photo Vickie.
