Ohh, it does look blue in that photo! . . . I did not realize that . . . but it's really just plain unfinished and well-weathered galvanized tin . . . it started out life on a wooden post . . . and has been run into and knocked down a few times . . . and several years ago my Bennie finally put it on this heavy metal post and set it in concrete . . . now when it gets hit, it leaves a mark!
Must be a trademark of Rural Texas. Looks like mine only your's is blue. :)
