This is one of my many experiments / failures . . . for the first time today, I set the camera on manual focus . . . snapped 284 shots in the house and outside after dark . . . in this shot I was trying to manually focus on my althea bush with the almost full moon behind it . . . kinda hard to focus on something I can barely see . . . it was quite breezy outside . . . and somewhat cloudy at times . . . hope to try again tomorrow night . . .
Sorry, I don't think it is a failure, I think it is artsy and wonderful.
You're too kind, Carol . . . but . . . at least I did not crop this time! :)
I don't have a problem with cropping, sometimes the only way to capture what you want in a photo is to capture things you don't want as well. I will crop them out in a heart beat. Cropping allows the viewer to focus on what you want them to see, what you were trying to capture when you clicked that shutter. Crop away.
Very cool photo! I can't tell you how many times I've tried to photograph the moon, with no success. I'll keep trying though, lol!Btw, I crop too... not often, but when it makes the picture better I do it.
